ADAM

TURNER

With an entrepreneurial spirit and a creative itch to scratch, Adam Turner founded Cherrymoon Media in September 2016.

Born in northern Virginia in the early 90s, Turner grew up with an obsessive fascination with the arts, from literature and writing, to music and the history of cinema. He found outlets for these passions at Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, Kentucky, where he was a Valedictorian and varsity baseball pitcher (a southpaw), and Eastern Kentucky University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the communications department and honors program. Here he studied broadcasting, electronic media, English, and served as an award-winning Features Editor of the student newspaper, the Eastern Progress. Over the years, he held a number of odd jobs as a small town historic theatre manager, a lifeguard, a bourbon distillery assistant, a pizza maker, an appliance salesman, a corporate copywriter, and an editor-in-chief of an online music magazine.

Following his time at EKU, Turner accepted a job offer directing a small Kentucky book publisher named RRP International. The company was owned by Don McNay, an expert in lotteries and a larger-than-life local media personality, whom Turner worked with to grow into a successful book and digital media business. McNay passed away unexpectedly in mid-2016, and Turner took what he learned from his dearly departed mentor and friend and applied it to a new venture: Cherrymoon Media.

Turner lives in Lexington, Kentucky with his wife Amanda and their beloved dogs Wilco and Lola. In his free time, he enjoys writing, running, brewing, and growing his record collection. He also serves as Marketing Administrator for a local non-profit KY Helping Hands, providing financial assistance and comprehensive support to those in desperate need of help in Kentucky, and Marketing Director for Morrin Law Office out of Richmond, KY.
